NNMC STUDENT INFORMATION

After registering for the competition, students will choose their monologue and attend an informational orientation with a parent or guardian in December. The Deadline to register is January 4, 2026

Students will perform their monologues in front of a panel of judges, who will select participants to move on to the Regional Semi-Finals. Auditions will occur January 10, 2026 at World Stage Theatre

In these six Master Classes, semi-finalists will be coached by local industry professionals who will prepare them for the Regional Finals. Students must attend all six sessions beginning January 17, 2026 ​

Semi-finalists will compete on March 2026, and 2 students will be selected as Portland’s Regional Finalists. The third-place winner will receive $200, the second-place winner will receive $400, and the first-place winner will receive $600. First and second-place students will also receive an all-expenses-paid trip to New York for a chance to compete at the National Competition Finals, make lasting friendships, see a Braodway show, and meet and learn from industry professionals..

May 4, 2026. The first and second-place regional winners from each region will compete at the National Finals. Students must be available for four full days of travel.
