WST SUCCESS STORIES

"From an early age I was able to learn about Black history through art and expression and I got to learn it with a group of people that I was able to grow up with and share those experiences with. I was able to take the concepts that we had explored at such a yong age and I took that on with me and studied it throughout undergrad and grad school. As I started devolpoing my own self (identity) but also learning how the social world and about all the implications that come with being Black and how they interact with how I decide to represent myself and how others percieve me. On the other hand learning how to speak in public, speak in front of people, was so huge for me. I have a shyer persona...but having that skill set as I grew older in my career and education has offered me a lot of experiences and all of that is owed to and because of World Stage Theatre."
